Proyecto etwinning
Como sabéis los alumnos de 6º están realizando un proyecto sobre Juegos Tradicionales con un colegio de Grecia. La primera actividad consistía en realizar unos powerpoints sobre varios juegos tradicionales de cada país. Pinchando en el siguiente enlace podéis ver las presentaciones de los juegos.
Proyecto etwinning “Traditional Games”. 6º curso
Durante este curso vamos a realizar un proyecto etwinning con un colegio griego (Primary School of Verdikoussas. Greece). El contenido del proyecto trata sobre juegos tradicionales de ambos países. En el siguiente documento está toda la información sobre el proyecto.
Lo vamos a realizar con los alumnos de 6º. Estos alumnos ya tienen experiencia en este tipo de proyectos ya que el año pasado realizaron el proyecto “Olympic games” con un colegio escoces. Se van a realizar actividades en las áreas de Educación Física, Plástica e Inglés. Muchos de los documentos o productos del proyecto estarán en el Twinspace cuya dirección es la siguiente http://new-twinspace.etwinning.net/web/p90137/welcome . Los alumnos tendrán los mismos nombres de usuario y contraseña que el año anterior. Iremos colgando todo lo relativo a cada actividad conforme se vayan realizando.
Baseball
It is a game played with a hard ball and bat, between two teams of nine players each.
Baseball is the national game of theUnited States, because it is the most popular sport there. It is played by people of all ages.
The team that scores the most runs (when a batter goes through the bases and home) wins the game.
The pitcher in the defender team throws the ball towards the batter, a player on the attacking team.
The batter tries to hit the ball into the field. If he hits the ball he then runs around the bases.
The defenders in the field try to put him out.
Batters and runners can be put out in many ways.
The catcher tries to catch the ball thrown by the pitcher when the batter doesn´t want to hit the ball or can´t hit it.
The umpire decides if the ball thrown by the pitcher went through the right zone (over the base and in between the knees and shoulders of the batter).

MINI OLYMPIC GAMES
These are the sports we are playing in our Mini Olympic games. Scottish students will play the same sports in their School.
SITTING VOLLEY
The court size and height of the net are modified for sitting volleyball. Modifications to gym space are acceptable for local play, as long as both courts are equal in size. The net is 1.15m for men and 1m for women.
Key Rule Modifications that are Different from Standing Volleyball
The position of each player is determined and controlled by the position of their bottoms. “Bottom” is defined as the upper part of the body, from shoulder to one’s buttocks.
The player is not allowed to lift his/her bottom from the court when executing any type of attack-hit.
NETBALL
Netball is a ball sport played between two teams . Its development, derived from early versions of basketball
Games are played on a rectangular court with raised goal rings at each end. Each team attempts to score goals by passing a ball and shooting it through its goal ring. During general play, a player with the ball can hold onto it for only three seconds before shooting for a goal or passing to another player. The winning team is the one that scores the most goals.

Vocabulario sobre freesbees
Los alumnos de 3º ciclo ya pueden echar un vistazo al vocabulario de inglés que vamos a ver en los próximos días durante la Unidad Didáctica de “Freesbees”. Seguro que conocéis parte de ese vocabulario. En otros casos yo os pongo la traducción y en cualquier caso podéis buscarlo en el diccionario. Aquí os pongo un enlace a un diccionario online muy inter
esante. Os recuerdo que en otra entrada anterior tenéis un video con una explicación del juego del ultimate que es el más conocido de los juegos con freesbees. Será interesante verlo para tener una idea del juego.
