Baseball
It is a game played with a hard ball and bat, between two teams of nine players each.
Baseball is the national game of theUnited States, because it is the most popular sport there. It is played by people of all ages.
The team that scores the most runs (when a batter goes through the bases and home) wins the game.
The pitcher in the defender team throws the ball towards the batter, a player on the attacking team.
The batter tries to hit the ball into the field. If he hits the ball he then runs around the bases.
The defenders in the field try to put him out.
Batters and runners can be put out in many ways.
The catcher tries to catch the ball thrown by the pitcher when the batter doesn´t want to hit the ball or can´t hit it.
The umpire decides if the ball thrown by the pitcher went through the right zone (over the base and in between the knees and shoulders of the batter).

La próxima semana vamos a empezar a trabajar sobre el beisbol. Aquí tenéis un video donde podéis disfrutar de jugadas increibles que han tenido lugar entre jugadores profesionales.
Mini Olympic Games 6º
Sanjuaneras
Nos acercamos a las fiestas de San Juan y como cada año por estas fechas recordaremos, de forma básica, el baile de las Sanjuaneras. Como de costumbre también, contaremos con la ayuda de la Asociación de las Sanjuaneras. Algunos miembros de la misma se acercarán al Colegio para poder verlos y aprender de ellos. Para abrir boca, aquí os cuelgo un video que realizamos hace dos años con motivo de una fiesta realizada en el Colegio sobre las Sanjuaneras. A ver si os reconocéis.

Danza del día de la paz
Aquí tenéis las imágenes de la danza escocesa “Cumberland Reel” que bailamos en el patio el día de la paz. Los más pequeños se liaron un poco en algunos pasos, principálmente porque no habíamos tenido mucho tiempo para ensayar pero los mayores lo hicieron perféctamente y, en cualquier caso, siempre es bonito ver moverse a tanta gente con un mínimo de sincronización.
