4-year-old kids first writings in English

The following pictures related to daily routines belong to some of my 4-year-old kids. Last week they surprised me trying to write in English to describe what they were drawing. They are used to write in Spanish what they are drawing, but this is the first time they do it in English. And it was spontaneously.  Of course, they wrote the words as they sounded to them.

Enjoy their drawings and writings!

I wash my face and I brush my teeth:

I have breakfast:

I go to school:Los dibujos anteriores son de mis chicos de cuatro años.

The Mistery Box

This is The Mistery Box. It can be used in many different ways to adapt it to your interests. In this case, we are using it to review the body parts. Here you are the “ingredients” :

– A nice box.

– Flash cards.

– Mp3 player.

– Kids!!!

Place the flash cards inside the box. Hide them well to make them difficult to find. Play the music. The kind of songs is up to you. I prefer relaxing ones, They pass the box while the music is on, and when the music is off, they stop. The kid with the box will look for a flash card. And we continue that way until the flash cards are over.

Before this activity, we can play as well to find out if the box is empty or full, if it is heavy or light , the sound it makes, …
